Germany: Muslim tries to kill fellow migrant for converting to Christianity

“They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah. But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.” (Qur’an 4:89)

A hadith depicts Muhammad saying: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari 9.84.57). The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law according to all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence.

This is still the position of all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, both Sunni and Shi’ite. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most renowned and prominent Muslim cleric in the world, has stated: “The Muslim jurists are unanimous that apostates must be punished, yet they differ as to determining the kind of punishment to be inflicted upon them. The majority of them, including the four main schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali) as well as the other four schools of jurisprudence (the four Shiite schools of Az-Zaidiyyah, Al-Ithna-‘ashriyyah, Al-Ja’fariyyah, and Az-Zaheriyyah) agree that apostates must be executed.”

Qaradawi also once famously said: “If they had gotten rid of the apostasy punishment, Islam wouldn’t exist today.”

“Migrant ‘attacked in German refugee camp for converting to Christianity,’” by Katie Mansfield, Express, July 15, 2016 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

A MAN accused of attacking a migrant for converting to Christianity is now claiming he is 19 in a bid to be tried in a juvenile court.

The Afghan, named only as Mohebolla A, is alleged to have attacked an Iranian migrant with a baton knocking him unconscious and causing severe head injuries at a refugee camp in Hamburg, Germany.

He initially told an adult criminal court he was 22 but after facing a charge of attempted murder now claims he is 19 and says the victim hit himself with the baton.

In Germany, defendants under the age of 21 can be tried in juvenile courts and receive lesser sentences.

Mohebolla is now on trial for a second time following the dispute over his age.

The Afghan does not own a passport or other documents that prove his date of birth but when a trial started in an adult criminal court in May Mohebolla said he believed he was 22-years-old but days later claimed he was 19.

A new trial started in a juvenile court this week.

Prosecutors claim Mohebolla said: “I will kill you” before attacking the victim known as Amir H, 24.

The court heard Mohebolla was angry that Amir had converted to Christianity and launched a near-fatal assault following a series of run-ins.

He allegedly called Amir’s conversion “a sin” before launching the brutal assault.

Security at the camp were forced to intervene as Amir suffered serious head injuries as he was beaten with a baton….

Mohebolla, a Muslim, then claimed Amir offended him and his religion “with very harsh words” and told him he had been a Christian for four years.

The court heard the pair brawled but later made up before getting in a series of fights.
