Candace Cameron Bure: “Unborn Babies Cannot Defend Themselves and I Will Always Defend Them”

This past year, in the midst of a raging abortion debate, many celebrities have spoken up and offered their support to the abortion business Planned Parenthood.

Yet several established celebrities also have boldly stood up in defense of the unborn. One of them is actress Candace Cameron Bure, who recently faced The View’s liberal panel and unapologetically and eloquently stated the reality of the Planned Parenthood scandal.

Recently, two employees with the Center for Medical Progress were indicted for videos exposing Planned Parenthood. Pro-abortion View host Whoopi Goldberg was especially thrilled by the news. On Tuesday she bluntly declared her joy that Planned Parenthood was cleared, while the Center for Medical Progress is being charged.

“I’m glad that these guys who went in and planned this for three years are getting their behind handed to them,” Goldberg said.

Despite the panel’s and audience’s seeming agreement with this statement, Bure pointed out the reality of the situation and even spoke in defense of the Center for Medical Progress.

“My view is it seems completely backward. I think these were people that were exposing something horrific that goes on, and to see them indicted is horrifying to me,” she said. “And I say … woe to them who call evil good and good evil.”

She also corrected Goldberg’s statement, because Planned Parenthood has not been cleared of wrong-doing. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott stated after the indictment that the state continues to investigate Planned Parenthood, Bure said.

Despite Goldberg’s immediate attacks, Bure continued to defend the unborn in a loving and compassionate manner: “I have complete compassion and understanding, and, of knowing people and having relationships in my life with the abortions.”

“Listen, I’m an advocate for the unheard voice. These are unborn voices. They cannot defend themselves, and I will always defend them,” she bravely told the View.

Bure is a beloved American actress, best known for her role as D.J. Tanner in Full House. She is also a television host, producer and New York Times best-selling author. Although she didn’t grow up in a Christian home, Bure states that she was in her twenties when she “born again” as a Christian. She has since incorporated her faith into every aspect of her life, from raising her three children to her film roles. It is because of this faith that Bure said she refuses to compromise her beliefs. This is especially evident in her courageous stance for life.
