Hillary Clinton’s ‘mystery man’ not a Medic
There are a lot of things to hit Hillary on, this isn’t one of them.
Update: Bongino responds to a Washington Post article claiming Secret Service protocol was not followed today.
After Hillary Clinton left a 9/11 memorial service this morning she was unable to get to her motorcade under her own power, Dan Bongino took to Conservative Review’s Facebook page for a live broadcast to dispel one of the most persistent myths regarding Clinton’s health.
The “mystery man” the internet has called a medic, is a supervisory officer with the Secret Service, according to Bongino, a former Secret Service agent. Again, he is not a medic. Bongino also reminded viewers that while Clinton’s health is an issue, there are serious issues regarding Benghazi, the Clinton Foundation, and her emails that need answering.
Here’s what Bongino had to say:
Bongino made two points. The first laid to rest, once and for all, any conspiracy theories surrounding the identity/occupation of the so-called mystery man seen opening the door for Clinton in the above video. The second point he made is that there are other things to hit the Clintons on — and that the focus should be on those:
First, the “mystery man,” as I’ve heard him called on the internet, he’s a black male, I don’t know how old he is right now. But, I’ve hesitated to say this, because you don’t like to out these guys, but the Secret Service is not a spy agency — we’re not. But, he’s a Secret Service agent, OK? I really need to put that to rest.
I tell you that with a 100 percent certainty. He is not a doctor with a specialty in anything, from a foreign country. I’ve seen some really crazy theories out there. Folks, we have a thousand things politically we can go after the Clintons, and Democrats, and liberals on. But, I’m telling you, you’re chasing a ghost on this one. The guy’s a Secret Service agent. Would I steer you wrong? Tell me my motivation for lying to you would be on this one.
Bongino went on to explain that the “mystery object” that some people have spotted in the agent’s hand is a Secret Service-issued flashlight. He knows, he told viewers, because he has one just like it.
After his Facebook Live was complete, Bongino reached out to offer comment on an article in the Washington Post. The article stated that “atypical protocol” was followed with Clinton’s early departure from the memorial. Bongino said this was not the case, explaining: “There is NO Secret Service violation of protocol. In a medical emergency we would quickly move the protectee to a pre-designated room at an indoor site or, at some outdoor sites, to pre-staged vehicle assets. The first person to the door of the vehicle in an emergency will grab it and it’s in NO way unusual to have to wait a moment for the vehicles at a crowded outdoor site.”
If the Clinton campaign continues to avoid questions about this latest incident, it will keep this story going. While the incident is certainly noteworthy, Dan Bongino put to rest one of the longstanding conspiracy theories surrounding Hillary Clinton’s health.
