Drudge Nails It: Media Ignoring Fact That Dems Have No Debates Scheduled

“There is only vague chatter…”

Internet Media Mogul Matt Drudge used his Drudge Report website Sunday to point out an obvious fact that seems to have been ignored by many political observers in the mainstream media.

While the media obsessively discusses the plans for this week’s first presidential debate between the large Republican field of candidates, no one is talking about the fact that the Democrats have no debates scheduled in the near future, even though there are now five candidates in the field with rumblings that Vice President Joe Biden might be contemplating a run, as well.

As Drudge put it:

DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz promised voters a ‘competitive primary process’ and debates ‘would be an important part.’

But little information is known.

As the Clinton coronation continues to crumble, there is only vague chatter around the party about a forum in Iowa within the next few months.

Indeed, Wasserman Schultz told CNN in May that there would be six debates for the Democrats including four in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada all to occur before the first ballots are cast in January.
