If you are at all like me, you know that “putting sin to death” is no easy exercise. Our flesh harbors and nurtures sin while our spirit is combating it. As Paul so eloquently put it, “Who will deliver me from this body of death?” Which is NOT to say there is no hope. Sin can be defeated, but it is hard work. Tim Challies lays out a few steps for those who are serious about their faith.
