U.S. to relinquish remaining control over the Internet – The Washington Post

There is a small but vocal contingent of Christian conspiracy theorists who firmly believe that the internet is forming the framework for the final globalization of commerce. (Not much of a conspiracy theory any more, eh?) However, when the book of Revelation discusses the “mark of the beast” and the “number of his name” and the fact that without the “mark” no one will be able to buy or sell ANYTHING, many assume this will entail a “smart chip” embedded either in the hand or forehead connected to the internet and your local bank for transfer of funds. There are already “smart credit cards” that have been in use in Europe for many years. They are coming to America in the very near future according to the latest news reports. The troubling part of this entire issue is the fact that the Obama administration has apparently decided it makes good “political” sense” for the United States to relinquish control of the internet to  global governance. Since the “league of nations” and the “united nations” have both proven to be such great examples of governing efficiency, why should we worry about global governance of the tools of commerce? Think about it a while. It will come to you.
